BASS at regional CSR event
With the keynote "Actions Count" and practical examples BASS shows that Corporate Social Responsibility is more than just a long name.
On 22nd October 2019, the "Mittelstandspreis für soziale Verantwortung in Baden-Württemberg" (SME Award for Social Responsibility in Baden-Württemberg) hosted a regional event in Tauberbischofsheim. Topic: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The event posed the question of how employers can react to the changing demands and expectations of current and potential employees with suitable CSR activities. A special focus was set on the possibilities of binding young people in the region through cooperations.
The Niederstetten-based company BASS was involved in both parts of the event. In the keynote lecture "Actions count – the holistic CSR approach of BASS", the managing owner of BASS, Dr. Stefanie Leenen, pointed out topics and examples of social action at the medium-sized company. They range from family friendliness, company health management and sustainable behaviour to educational cooperations and cultural sponsoring.
In the second part of the event, the host invited participants to a panel discussion in which Dr. Leenen and Jonny Wiesinger from the BASS HR department, answered questions. In this speech, Wiesinger reported on his decision to stay in Niederstetten, a rural town, and on his further career at BASS.
We thank the "Lea-Mittelstandspreis" for the invitation and the successful event.
